How do I use the Custom Wagon Service?
Designing your own custom wagon couldn’t be easier!
- Select one of the wagon body styles from our selection here (but don’t do that until you’ve read all of this).
- Select the base colour, lettering layout and lettering style from the drop down boxes. Please refer to the images on the page that highlight which line is displayed where on the wagon (A sample image is below)
- Enter in the text you want on the wagon. (Character count limits apply, and all lettering will be printed in upper case)
- When you’re done, double check for any typos and add to your cart. If you want another design you can add more.
- Once complete, head to your shopping cart to checkout and make payment.
- Once your order is in, we will start work on your order. We don’t offer artworks for you for review, but if we encounter any issues we will contact you.
- Your order will then progress to the printing stage before checking, packing and delivery to you. Our expected lead time for production is about 4 weeks.

How long will my order take to be produced?
We aim for a lead time of around 4 weeks from the time the order is placed. This allows a 2 day cooling off period, for which if you wish to alter or cancel your order you can email us for a full refund, and then time to setup the artwork, create it and have it shipped to you.
What payment methods do you accept?
At this time we accept PayPal or credit / debit cards. To pay using a credit / debit card select the PayPal option and then select to use a card.
What do I do if I notice an issue with my order?
After you place your order we have a 48 hour cooling off period before we start work in your order. If you email us within this period we can update your order. Any requests beyond the 48 hour window from when you placed your order are at the discretion of the Custom Wagon Service.
Can I cancel my order?
If you are within 48 hours of placing the order you can email us at support@customwagons.co.uk and we will cancel your order and issue a full refund. Any requests beyond the 48 hour window from when you placed your order are at the discretion of the Custom Wagon Service.
I’ve received a shipping email but it’s been a week and I still haven’t received my wagon

My order has arrived but it is damaged – what do I do?
Please email us at support@customwagons.co.uk with photos of the damage if possible, and we will see what we can do.
Will you offer any other scales?
At present we are focusing on OO gauge wagons but in time we may extend this service to use other scales in the Rapido tooling suite.
I am outside the UK, do your orders include tax and what about customs?
We do not charge tax (VAT) on orders if your shipping location is outside the UK. We also do not collect any customs charges, and these will be your responsibility to pay to the customs authority and duties due on import of the item to your country.
